Pivotal Systems Deepens Malaysia Commitment Through MIDA and Government Engagements, Attends Lam Research’s Supplier Day

Fremont, California – August 12, 2026

Pivotal Systems Corporation further advanced its role in accelerating Southeast Asia’s growing semiconductor and data center industry after its leadership met with the CEO of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, and his leadership team. Both parties discussed opportunities to further expand on new opportunities including the technology roadmap and the rapid advancements in AI-driven digital infrastructure and sustainable ecosystems throughout Malaysia, where Pivotal would play a prominent role along with its strategic partners. Key topics were also centered around continuing efforts to advance technological innovation, supply chain resilience, workforce development, and sustainable growth.

Pivotal’s leadership team also met with the Malaysia Deputy Minister of Finance, YB Liew Chin Tong, the Malaysia government sovereign wealth fund, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, and Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), to further discuss Pivotal’s immediate plans for additional fab site expansions, investments, and supporting the Malaysia capital markets as both parties work together to solidify Malaysia as one of the major technology and financial epicenters for the future.

Pivotal was also honored again to be among a select group to attend Lam Research’s prestigious, invitation only, Supplier Day Event. This annual event brings together Lam’s global suppliers to recognize outstanding performance, advance collaboration, and address foremost supply chain topics, such as quality, agility, environmental responsibility, and ethical practices.

Held this year in Kuala Lumpur, the event featured keynote speeches from top executive leaders underscoring the importance and collective responsibility of companies across the supply chain for strong diversification, resilience, and continuing innovation.

Having received the coveted Pioneer Status (PS) in Malaysia, Pivotal remains fully committed in supporting the long-term government goals under Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 in the rapidly growing multi-trillion-dollar global semiconductor market for all things AI.
