Pivotal Systems Advances Southeast Asia Semiconductor Strategy at ASEAN Summit 2025

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – July 30, 2025 

Pivotal Systems, a leader in gas flow solutions that enables AI chip manufacturing, has further cemented its role in accelerating Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing semiconductor sector after concluding in a successful engagement at the ASEAN Semiconductor Summit 2025 hosted by the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA).

The annual summit, held in Kuala Lumpur, featured keynotes from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Zafrul Aziz, and Deputy Minister Chin Tong Liew. Discussions centered around efforts to advance technological innovation, supply chain resilience, workforce development, and sustainable growth.

During the event, Pivotal’s executive leadership met with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the [Malaysian] Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) to outline the company’s technological roadmap and plans to scale its Malaysia-based fab operations.

Malaysia continues to be a cornerstone of Pivotal’s growth strategy and has recently completed its Stage 1 expansion plans. Having made significant investments to date, Pivotal is entering into Stage 2 expansion plans to further strengthen its regional presence by accelerating the adoption of AI and automation, establishing a regional R&D center, and driving local talent upskilling in partnership with local government and academic institutions, all within the next 4 years. The company is also working with various government agencies and investing in promising local companies to strengthen local vendor ecosystems, further solidify infrastructure support, and leverage national incentives aligned under Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030.
