COO of Kulim Hi-Tech Park Visits Pivotal Systems’ Fremont Headquarters to Explore Fab Site Expansion Opportunities in Malaysia
Fremont, California — September 4, 2025 —Pivotal Systems Corporation, a leader in gas flow solutions that enables AI chip manufacturing, was gracious to host Mr. Che Abdul Khalid Md Din, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP) along with his KHTP team and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) at its Fremont headquarters.
KHTP is an advanced manufacturing industrial park located in the Malaysian state of Kedah and since 1996 has been one of Malaysia’s premier locations for high-tech manufacturing and investments. KHTP can be considered an “fully integrated industrial park” comprising of various zones making it an ideal location for a diverse range of industrial sectors including semiconductors. As part of its successfully completed Stage 1 expansion plans, the Pivotal Systems’ Malaysia manufacturing facility is in the Kulim Hi-Tech Park.
Mr. Che Abdul Khalid Md Din, the KHTP team, and the MIDA team met with the Pivotal Systems management team and toured Pivotal Systems’ Fremont facilities. The strategic discussions focused on future planning for fabrication site expansion opportunities in the KHTP that would be in alignment with both Pivotal’s Stage 2 expansion plans and the local region’s growing role in global semiconductor manufacturing. The meeting served only to reaffirm and strengthen both parties’ commitments to advancing collaboration, fostering technology partnerships, and supporting the long-term government goals of Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030.
